What a great trip. Bob Laidlaw, Scotland

What a great trip and one I will never forget. Never been to Cuba and so glad I did. To see this amazing place on a Harley, in the company of other likeminded people was simply ace.
I didn’t know any of them as was a solo traveller. Within 24 hours the group from Finland, Holland, Austria, Switzerland and twe of us from Scotland (the other Scot I never met before either) were all brothers and sisters, who had such a great time together that we later in year meet up in Scotland to ride again, this time on our own Harleys around the beautiful Scottish Highlands. We plan to ride together in southern Spain this year.
All this was made possible by the team in Cuba and the way they made sure everything we could need was there for us. The bikes, the guides, the support team, the places we ate, the places we stayed, the roads we rode, the places we visited, everything was spot on. No day was to long in the saddle, but we saw so much of this stunning and friendly island. Our La Poderosa road crew and guides became family to us and did everything they could to keep us safe and ensure we had fun. They ate with us, rode with us, educated us, entertained us and had a good few beers and the odd bottle of rum with us. So, as you can I hope see, I had a fantastic trip and one I’d strongly recommend.
Attached are a few photos.
Which are –

  1. So happy I could do a highland fling.
  2. End of trip few beers down in old Havana with my new brothers and sisters.
  3. The support bike, which we called the ‘ghost bike’, as all it did was follow us around – glad I didn’t have to clean it.
  4. Our man Ernesto proves he can’t sign a note, but tries.
  5. Our lead road crew Ernesto and Camilo at the Che Memorial.
  6. Our ladies outside a stopover hotel, wrapped up for the night.
  7. The ladies waiting for us to return from a bit of sight seeing.
  8. My lady in Cuba.
  9. The Cuba gang meet up again in Edinburgh, before heading off to tour the Highlands.

In 2018 my wife and I joined the Fuser 2 trip. It was a really fantastic experience. Riding through Cuba together with Ernesto, Camilo and the rest of the group, all on iconic Harley Davidson motorcycles, made it an unforgettable experience. Since this trip we are still in contact with the other participants and have already made another trip to Scotland together. And for 2019 we are thinking about yet another trip to Spain. So we didn’t only have a fantastic holiday but have also formed a nice group of friends. Thanks for making this happen!

Onze dank is groot!
